The Student Newspaper of
Madison’s Central High School
The Madison Mirror was the student newsletter for Madison’s Central High School. The newsletter ran from 1924 to 1969 and produced 575 issues. The school closed the same year.
The Dane County Historical Society spent years planning to digitize the newsletters. At first, DCHS considered hiring the Wisconsin Historical Society to digitize the newsletters. Instead, they chose Northern Micrographics (La Crosse). They could keep the bound volumes intact.
DCHS board members, Joanne Jensen and Beverly Kneebone conducted a fundraising campaign. The money they raised made the project possible. Digital copies are here.
